tweek your carburetor...Your carburetor have 1 screw for air and gas (carburetor) needle for gas. First you must sett hight of gas needle. Needle have 5 steps. Start by setting clip on needle on top or on first step. assemble back your carb, and screw air bolt until there is joust an little hole between carb slide and nozzle. Try to start your pocket. If he wouldn't start screw in air bolt and then try again. When he starts step on ti! and if he doesn't work very well or stops take needle out and putt clip on second step. You must sett your clip on carb needle in right position so that your pocket have joust a bit more air then gas, and that your pocket don't stop at full gas.

It is not necessary that performance filter is better, maybe that filter is too dens and your pocket doesn't get enough air. What to do? You can make your own custom air filter, from some cushy material like steam filter from an dip fryer. (I did that and it is working perfect) That is not only thing you can do to make your pocket stronger. Butt it is the easier. Of course after that you must set up your carburetor all over again. Air filter must have hole big enough to ensure enough air for explosion. How will you know that your filter is good. Top speed! Your pocket must work perfectly, with constant acceleration until it reaches full speed. And at full speed he must work without any deceleration. Try couple of runs without filter, and then try to fulfill same with your filter. If you made it, filter is good.

After that i removed classic air filter and put performance filter, more air more power and torque.

That is not all you must do if you want to tune your pocket , however you must setup carburetor. There is one screw on left side (if filter is towards you), that screw determine how many air is getting in side clynder. Turn that screw until yore pocket bike starts to go on his own, reduce it just a little bit until it rear wheel stops.

Now, i will get started with my own exp. about pocket bikes. I bought one pocket bike 5 months ago, drive him couple of weeks until something broke. It was upper engine porter. I didn't bother fixing it because engine have extra under hole. So i putt screw in it. Couple of days later, exhaust porter broke, so i had huge hole in it and it didn't sound nice. I cut away old muffler and putt one from scooter, ZX tittan. That is pressure muffler, he creates under pressure in side his chambers and drags out gases from the rest of exhaust. With that engine is working easier and a little bit stronger.

First steps

If you don't have enough experience about 2 stroke engines then you should give up at the beginning.

There is more than one type of pocket bikes, but main difference between them is cooling system. Air cooling system and water cooling system.

Air cooled engine and water coled have same cylinder capacity: 30 ccm, 40 ccm, 49ccm and 60 ccm.
